Boats @ Viaduct Harbour
Just
catching up with posting some of my old work from 2015... I meant to
post it so much earlier, but I left it to collect "digital dust" ever
since.
Spent the late afternoon to early evening drawing this boat in my sketchbook. It was pretty chilly that day, my hands were freezing.
High key tonal values were added to the drawing in Photoshop. Looking back, perhaps I could have worked on the lighting a little more.
The shape of this boat gave me the impression of "sampans" when I first saw it, even though it really wasn't one.
I was focusing on the one-point perspective in this drawing. I found that blocking-in the shadows helped the drawing look more three dimensional.

April 2014 drawings :)
I drew this picture of friends during lunch at a Mexican Cafe on the last day of school term back in April this year :)
I was watching a ballet play on Scheherazade, I thought it was really pretty, so I paused the videos to draw some scenes. I find the movement and acting in ballet and theatre visually appealing, so I often tend to draw from them whenever I can.

These cluster drawings are from Nutcracker.
"Huh? What? WHere?"...
Around the Christmas tree...
Somewhere near the beginning of the play, this character was very amusing... I think it was also a sort of Masquerade party before bedtime :)

September 2012 drawings
I found my September sketchbook today and decided to post this bunch of drawings... I was experimenting with the linework in these drawings with the pens I had bought earlier... it was fun :)
